Practical Tally Prime with GST FAQs
Do I need accounting knowledge before joining?
The course starts from the basics. Module 1 covers what accounting is, how it differs from bookkeeping, and how the double-entry system works. You do not need prior experience.
Is this a Tally Prime course or an older version?
The entire course is built on Tally Prime, which is the current version used by businesses and firms across India.
Will I actually use Tally in every class?
Every module has a practical session where you enter data in Tally yourself. Not a demo you watch. You do it in class.
Does the course cover GST filing?
Modules 7, 8, and 9 cover GST setup, transactions, advanced GST including RCM, and compliance reports including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, E-Way Bill, and E-Invoicing basics.
Does the course cover TDS and payroll?
Module 10 covers TDS under Sections 194C, 194J, and 194H in Tally. Module 11 covers payroll setup, monthly salary processing, and PF and ESI reports.
What happens in the last module?
Module 13 is a full case study where you set up a complete business in Tally from scratch, followed by a Career Playbook session covering revision, interview preparation, viva, final test, and feedback.
What is the minimum attendance for the certificate?
You need a minimum of 80% attendance across all scheduled sessions to be eligible for the completion certificate.
